The Alpine Homestead comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests with 5 bedrooms, 6 beds, and 4 bathrooms. It's ideal for large family reunions, multi-generational ski trips, or group getaways near Gore Mountain.
We require a minimum of 2 nights (3 nights on weekends and holidays). Real-time availability and exact requirements for your dates are shown on our official booking page.
"Stay & Play™" means you first book your comfortable stay at The Alpine Homestead, then we help you plan your adventures. Book your lodging, then add activities like skiing at Gore Mountain (just 8 minutes away), whitewater rafting, hiking, kayaking on Minerva Lake, or snowmobiling.
We supply most essentials so you can travel light: linens, towels, pillows, a fully equipped kitchen (dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and more), toilet paper, paper towels, and basic cleaning supplies. Bring your own food, personal toiletries, and any special dietary items. We also provide a starter supply of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

Yes — we try to have everything a family needs to feel at home. We have a Cosco-brand high chair and a Graco-brand pack-and-play, as seen in our gallery images.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. We're flexible when possible — just let us know your travel plans.
Our cancellation policy is listed on our official booking page and varies by season and how far in advance you cancel. We recommend booking early because peak Adirondack dates can fill quickly.
Yes. The closest full-service grocery store is about 10–15 minutes away in North Creek or Schroon Lake, and several good local restaurants and cafés are within a short drive. We're happy to give recommendations once you book your stay.
The closest is TOPS Markets in North Creek, just 10–15 minutes down the road. For a larger selection, Price Chopper in Warrensburg is about 25 minutes south. Instacart delivery is available at both stores.

Advanced booking is required for most services; for last-minute requests we'll do our best to accommodate. It lets you book the lowest direct rates on your stay while giving you direct access to the best licensed local guides and outfitters — no middleman, no extra fees, and full control over your adventure schedule.
We supply the wood for your first fire. In spring through early fall it's placed next to the fire pit; in colder months we place hardwood next to the indoor wood stove (which also serves as backup heat if the power goes out). Additional wood is your responsibility — hardwood is available at Stewart's Shops or local corner stores, and soft pine for the fire pit can be bought at nearby roadside stands (directions are on the kitchen counter).
Please do not touch the smoke detectors or fire extinguishers — they're there for your protection. Smoke detectors will sound if something is burning; this is a safety feature, and it's against the law to disable them. Fire extinguishers are visible in the hallway and at the top of the stairs and are for emergencies only.
Yes! We have plenty of on-site parking with room for multiple vehicles, boat trailers, snowmobile trailers, motorcycles, a small tent, and any makeshift cover or canopy you bring.
