The Alpine Homestead has three bedrooms and a suite for your accommodations.
Imagine the splendor of this home when owned by The McCoy’s in the 1800’s and this room was decorated to provide a restful sleep.
From the ceiling to the floor, from the ornate antique full bed to the antiqued oak dresser, you are carried back to that era. As you drift to sleep you are warmed by the homemade quilt and supported by a feel reminiscent of yesteryear’s feather bed, without any of the potential allergens.
A few short steps and you have reached the fully updated bath, complete with thick spa towels and handmade, in small batches, all natural vegetable oil soap products created for The Alpine Homestead by Starrworks. This room is ideal for the single traveler or couple to enjoy.
In the 1800’s this was suitable to be the Master bedroom. This roomy, sunny decorated room is graced with a King Sleigh bed and an antique dresser with attached mirror.
A small table & chair is the perfect place to use your laptop to check email or browse the web or even see what is happening at work, using our wireless connection, which is available throughout Alpine Homestead.
The window treatments and shades add charm to this bedroom designed for the business traveler or couple looking for a relaxing haven.
You have the choice of three bathrooms all of which are updated for your needs.
In the early history of this home, this room would have been ideal for growing children. It is spacious and bright with views of the pines in the backyard and the nearby mountains. If you listen closely you may even hear the babbling of Minerva stream as it twists nearby.
The antique Victorian bedroom suite consists of 2 twin beds with two matching dressers and end tables. The window treatments, bedspreads and bed skirts complete the décor in this appealing spot to rejuvenate mind and body.
The bathrooms are only a few steps away and offer updated plumbing and fixtures for your needs.
These rooms could have very easily been the sleeping quarters of the cook and help staff in 1850’s. There is a full sized bedroom with a queen poster bed that would be very comfortable for a couple. There is an a joining room with a twin iron framed bed that is awaiting another adult or child in the family.
There is a small landing/sitting room that is the perfect spot to sight the pileated woodpecker that passes thru most every morning, leaving his distinctive rectangular holes in our trees.
This room is close to the bathrooms and provides additional privacy in the back of the house. The back stairway remains intact and functional for emergency exits and use by the owners.
This suite gets the first aroma of breakfast as it is being prepared, which might make sleeping in impossible!
